The Psychosomatic Institute of San Antonio in response to the pandemic of the Coronavirus, closed its doors in mid-March and functioned virtually only at first.
As the pandemic has fluctuated, we have offered face to face services again on a limited basis. We still highly encourage to continue using video and telephone conferences for now, but we understand some of our patients have not find the same level of comfort in using them and are wanting to come to our office to see their provider. For them, some providers are doing face to face sessions but we continue to strongly encourage video sessions as long as possible for safety reasons.
As the pandemic is still a very significant problem, we ask that if you want to come, follow some simple guidelines in order to keep you, other patients and our staff as safe as possible.
- If you are sick or recently had fever, please abstain from coming and do a virtual session over the phone or internet instead.
- Wearing masks is mandatory at all times when you come into the building.
- Please call the office once you have arrived to the parking lot to check in with our staff. (210) 541-8455.
- Wait in your car after checking in and you will be called when your provider is ready to see you. If there are few or no other patients waiting, you will be given the option to come and wait in the waiting room.
- Stop at the window when you come in for your temperature to be checked.
If you prefer to continue having virtual sessions, we will offer them as long as insurances allow and cover them. Patients paying out of pocket can opt always to request virtual sessions although some providers may require to have one or more sessions face to face.
We are using primarily Doxy.me for the video conferences. Other internet services may be used or be required in the future.
If you are interested in setting an appointment or if you have an existing appointment and need to set the video-conference system, please email psisa@psisatx.com and you will receive instructions on how to proceed.
We appreciate your cooperation with the process and continue to work diligently to provide the best possible service.
